Well, to be honest I've never used, nor tried, DRI WASH 'n GUARD Classic Waterless Car Wash & Protective Glaze. I don't think I would use it on glass as it states it's for a non pourus painted surface.

I found this post below, using the search engine Posted by runnerbl.

I am actually a DWG distributor. The product does work well. However as Boss stated, at $40 for 32oz you could by 4x as much S&W. Prepare your car right the first time and S&W will give you the same results providing you keep your car cleaned every few days (Not a good distributor am I). If you used the DWG every few days it would get quite expensive. A 32 oz bottle will give 16 polishes on an average size car. Give your car a good polish and treat with several layers of sealant and good coat of wax (meg's 16) and S&W does just fine...Follow that up with S&G or 4* UGE. I will give true testimony to the Ultra Ion and its dust repellant capabilities. I verified this by doing half my hood and left the other half with just a coat of wax on. The side with Ultra Ion had substantially less dust than the untreated side. I have not found this in any of the other waxes/sealants I use now. Don't know about QEW,however I'm like RP, not to sure about using on dark colors.

Let me give a free plug on their tire treatment. It is great stuff. Leaves a satin look on the tires and dries to the touch and no slinging. Also seals the pourous plastic (mirrors, and front cowl below windshields) real nice. I think it retails for $17 for 16oz. Not trying to sell anything, just stating that it is a good product so don't be afraid to try it out.

Actually here is the whole thread.

Thanks I read that thread and then was curious about QEW and S&W, 4*UGE but could not find anything that matched in search engine. So I guess what does QEW stand for and the others. As far as the glass goes I can see where the windshield may be bad overtime with getting pitted from road debri but the sides n rear would stay pretty Nonporus Yes? I only say that cause it really makes for a super clean lookin window oh yea n chrome with little effort but thanks again for the link to the thread.

About the glass::: This is an e-mail (below) from a board member on how he deals with glass for his customers. Personally, I don't use #1 or #4....I use #2 fine cut cleaner and it does a mighty fine job. I don't use Rain-X either. What I do use however, is the Rain-X window washer solvent, which is way way, cheaper, convenient, and does the same thing as the stand alone Rain-X. A couple squirts of the washer solvent and your good to go

Glass may be cleaned, again preferably by machine, using Mequiars No. 1 or No. 4 (which may also be used by hand) (and don't try to do the inside of the glass by machine). It also removes water spots. And you should do it before polishing and waxing, as there will be cleaner splattered all over the glass from when you cleaned the paint, and cleaner will be splattered over the paint when you clean the glass.

Glass can be finished with Rain X if you wish (outside only). For those who haven't tried it (and it has been around for quite a while), Rain X seals the pores in the glass, which causes rain to bead and fly off, and also gives your windshield wipers a smoother ride. The down side is complaints about hazing, especially in difficult lighting conditions (dusk and dawn). I have used the stuff intermittently for about a dozen years, and I think it's a good product if used correctly (the residue must be wiped completely off, and you can't tell if it's completely off in certain lighting conditions). Give it a try; it's around $5 per bottle, which will last years.

I've used each of them. QEW and S&W are more along the lines of a product to remove light to moderate dust on a vehicle. They offer a higer level of lubrication across the paint to allow you to clean at certain times when you may once have had to do a full wash -- or at a minimum, a full rinse down.

S&W is a staple within my aresonal. I buy it by the gallon - typically two at a time - and use it, literally, every week on my vehicles.

It isn't the best at leaving a streakfree shine though... this is where the 4-Star UGE can come in to play. This product is more of a finishing spray and shouldn't really be used to quick detail as it doesn't have nearly as much lubrication. It will darken and pop on the paint but, I wouldn't use this product for much more than a smudge -- let the other products do their magic for light dusting and such.

Glass is, generally, non-porus. There are items that can stain it and etch it though. Water spotting can be a form of etching on the glass and, as such, you can have problems removing some glass problems.

There is a kit out there from Diamondite that is touted as a glass polishing kit. It's regarded as a nice system to remove slight glass problems. From the standpoint of cleaning, there are a few good glass cleaners out there... Stoners, NXT, and D-Line Glass cleaners are among my favorite.

Rain-X is an option for a coating to put on your glass to deter sticking to the glass but, it's not fool proof. It will be very temporary but, really doesn't 'protect' the glass.... Again, Dimondite, I believe, sells a 'glass sealant' that may help in some instances -- it may be in that kit. Check autogeek.net.
