Need help with fine scratches!!!

On the back of my tail gate a picked up some small hair-line scratches while hauling some junk. The scratches cover an area of about 4x6 inches. They do not look deep but you can see some white color behind some of the bad ones. What is the best product and method for getting rid / improving the damage?

If they still make it, GS27. I used that when I was sideswiped. I had some deep scratches, just put on some touchup paint, and polished it smooth. All schratches and scuffs disappeared.

I suppose any scratch remover would do the same however.

Megs scratch-X is a good fine polish, that or their other polishes will get the job done if the scratches are not too deep. If they are deeper I will sometimes use 2000 grit sand paper and lightly wet sand the scratches. But be carefull as it may not seem like you are taking much off with the 2000 but it does cut even with water. After doing some very light wet sanding you would then use a fine polish to bring back the gloss.

Start with this or similar fine polishes--
