pc? and wheel wax?

I just ordered the xmt porter cable light swirl remover kit, and i had a couple of questions to ask.
Is the xmt product good quality stuff?
I also plan on claying my truck so do you wax before or after you do the swirl removing system?
And what is a good chrom wheel wax?

Not familar with it. Sorry. Can't help.

Wax is considered a LAST STEP PRODUCT (LSP). It's done at the VERY end.

So, wash, clay, polish for swirl/oxidation/scratch removal, polish for depth & luster (optional), wax, wax.

Use a synthetic. Options range from Zaino (which is a fantastic system), Mother's Synwax, Meguiar's NXT, etc...

The theory behind using a synthetic over a carnauba-based wax is that the synthetic will hold up to the high temps that a wheel will experience whereas a natural carnauba wax will likely melt and not withstand that environmental element.

I have found Detailers Pride Wheel glaze works great. They call it a glaze, but it is a sealant specific for wheels and the heat they build up. I did my OEM's 4 weeks ago and they still have very little brake dust build up after 7-10 days. Then clean up is even easier. But the best part about the product is it smells like grape bubblegum!!!

They sell it at autogeek.net.
