Monkey tail?

After using the G100 for the 1st time for most of the weekend (still not done, air is too cold, spring sucks so far) I've found the most difficult thing is trying to manage the cord. We'll not speak of extra work I caused myself due to the cord rubbing the sides. Anyone used one of these monkey tails or some other method to avoid picking up dirt on the cord then rubbing it over the sides of the vehicle you're working on? But then again wouldn't the monkey tail pick up dirt from the ground and you're back to square one all over minus the cost of said tail. I've tried throwing the cord over the shoulder and that didn't work so well. Any advice?

Put the cord over your shoulder so it runs behind you. I guarantee it won't hit your truck

I'll third the suggestion.... plop it over your shoulder and it's out of the way. Takes a tad of getting used to but, versus it dragging all over the paint, it's definitely the way to go.

Also, some folks like using a 'cover' for the cord...

That is made by DF Towel and is constructed from their SUPER high quality Alpine Microfiber (which is regarded by many as the *best* MF on the market -- me included).

HERE'S A LINK. Having dealt with Leo multiples of times over the years -- he's a super gentleman and runs a very good business. He's very serious about what he sells and has a passion for detailing and cars in general.

I always throw the cord over my shoulder then tuck the slack in my back pants pocket. It doesn't keep sliding off my shoulder this way either.

I especially like the cord cover though RP. I believe I can rig something up like that. Good one, thanks.

I'll give the over the shoulder thing a try, thanks for the tips. Maybe I'll have to find my old Members Only jacket to utilize the shoulder strap

RP, thanks for the link for the MF's, if I didn't just buy a bunch I'd grab a six pack of those. I'm at the beginning end of accumulating items so I need to start getting some returns (i.e. full detail on the gf's truck) before spending more cash. I'm also saving the link for the next time the gf runs my MF's through the wash with dish and bathroom towels
