PC Package question...
PC Package question...
I have a Black truck that has some swirlc, and some light scratches on the body...
I have decided to buy a PC... I was looking to get one of the packages from ADS...
I want something that i can do what i need to do which is remove swirls, spiderwebbing, and light scratches, I basically want to make my paint look like glass...
Some problems are that i also have rock chips...can a PC get those out, lets say if I fill them with paint, let them dry, and then polish them so they blend in??
SO which kit would be the best kit to get...If you could give a reason to justify the extra money from one kit to anouther i would appriciate it ...THANKS!

No sure which kit it is, but here are a few things I would recommend ..
a couple of 8006 pads
a couple of 9006 pads
some #80
some #21, or some NXT
some #26
also .. grab some clay, some good Microfibers, a waffle weave or two, and your favorite tire and vinyl dressings.
search this forum .. there was a post a couple of weeks ago where the same question was asked, and there are some pretty in depth answers there.

package #3 looks like a good starting point .. I would add some #80 and some #26 to it, and you will be set up well to get started ..
Also remember .. especially with a black truck .. proper washing technique is very important .. don't neglect your washing and drying tools ..
good quality car shampoo
good lambs wool mitt
two buckets
grit guard
leaf blower (my preferred method)
high quality waffle weave drying towel (for blotting drips)

The only thing I would add is some #83. I had a new truck and thought #80 would work, but it didn't quite cut it. The 83 did though and did not mar the finish whatsoever. I started off with the 80, found that wasn't working, then switched to the 83. Always try the least agressive first.
Rick will let you substitute products for others... also, mention that you found your way over to ADS from f150online... I've heard of a few folks here getting 'special treatment'... rockpick style, even.
