hey ford f150 fanatics,was wondering just got in my new porter cable and does it make a rattling sound when in use or is mine defective

 

Hmmm.....I just used mine for the first time also and I don't recall any rattling sound. It sounded like your typical sander. Only thing I can think of is maybe you didn't have the pad tight enough on the arbor. If I recall correctly from the manual, you're suppose to twist the pad with one hand while holding the wrench with the other.
