Paint

The passenger side of my truck has some kind of like brown spots stuff on it. It is kind of like dirt but I am not for sure. I have tried buffing, and I wash my truck very very frequently. I am a clean freak and I absolutely hate this, it is going to kill me. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Is it gooey? Will it pick off with a light 'fleck' of a fingernail?

Two routes:

1) If it's gooey - it's likely tar (asphalt derived). Tar remover is your answer (followed by wax once it's removed)
2) If it's not gooey - clay will likely remove it unless it's down into the paint (ie: it'll have to be on the surface for clay to work)

If it ends up being a little of both, both methods may be helpful. If it's caused a little bit of staining (it may be rail dust) you may need to abrasively polish it with something like Meguiar's Scratch X (high chem-cleaner/low abrasion).

Clear as 'tar'?
