This is a great question as it does make a difference...but at the end of the day, you should be asking why?? There's too many great products for paint out there to be using glass cleaner on paint.

Glass cleaner is designed to REMOVE stuff... as such, if you have wax (synthetic or natural), you're going to REMOVE it.

Not recommended as ammonia, ethylene glycol, isopropyl alcohol, butane, and propane (all of which are major components in most glass cleaners) will STRIP wax. Further, they will begin to strip the clear of the necessary emollients that are present within that 'clear coat' of paint and cause it to cloud and/or yellow.

I wouldn't do it.

Do not use glass cleaner on paint. It will remove wax, or anything protecting your paint. It also has no lubrication, so wiping it off will result in scratches.
