G100 and Meguiars Products Question
Thanks RockPick, I would still be using the Turtle Wax and old towels to do it without your advice to everyone on here. I am loving the G100, it made polishing and waxing go a lot faster and I think the results are a lot better. If only I didn't need to tape it off to do it.
Once you get more comfortable with it, the taping can be decreased.
A little secret -- I rarely tape off. Get comfortable with the machine and it's use and you'll find that it can be less and less....

Meguiar's NXT Synthetic
or
Meguiar's Cleaner Wax
If you're looking for a bit more durability, go with the synthetic. Easy on, easy off. Apply in VERY thin/even coats.

Thank you
I'll stop by AutoZone and pick some up.
Think you could stop by and show me how to apply it?

I spent a few hours today reading about the G100 because I'm afraid my arm is going to fall off trying to keep my black truck clean by hand. I decided to purchase one from http://www.autodetailingsolutions.com/index.htm because of all the nice write-ups. I went with Package #1 because I had most of the stuff needed to get the job done. I will put before and after pics when the process begins. This is what I ordered:
Package #1 DA Polisher Ala Carte Kit (G100A)
Premium Quality 16" x 16" Microfiber Towel 12 Pack
Meguiar's Foam Pad 6-Pack Special (W8006, W9006 3 Pads Each)
Meguiar's Speed Glaze M80
How to use the PC DVD
I couldn't be happier with my G100 and with the service from autodetailingsolutions.com. After staring this thread and getting some advice from people I emailed Rick and he had no problem with changing out some of the things in my order for me. Make sure to post some pics, I forgot to take before shots with mine.
24-hours is the 'national norm' type of answer. Different environmental conditions will require different set times.
If it's a dry time of year here, I'll go with half-day or something similar -- maybe that's not precisely correct but, it seems to work exceedingly well for me. If it's a wet time of year, it'll get 24-hours (maybe more). All depends...
Tell Rick I sent you!
Wow... does he ever owe me free shipping on my next order... LOL!
