Vacuum cleaners???

I’m in the market for a good vacuum cleaner. I have a small shop vac but it just doesn’t cut it anymore. What are you guys using to keep your carpet clean?

Thanks in advance...

I'm still using an older 10 gal. shop vac that I love. I just change its filter about once a year or two and keep it clean and it still works very well.

Ditto... Keeping the filters clean on shop vacs is very important to keep them working in tip top shape. I have two...a large 16 gallon unit, and a small 2 gallon unit. Between the two I'm able to take care of all vacuuming needs in the garage.

I use one of the wall mount shop vacs with the 20 foot hose on it ..

oh yeah, I have also found that using the 8 yr old daughter attachment makes it much easier on my back

I have a dyson household vaccuum that works awesome on the truck too. With the detachable telescoping thing, you can get just about anywhere in there. They are pricey, but well worth it!!!!

Shop vac for the front, a house carpet vac for the back (I have a bed rug).

I love my Dyson! It was $$ well spent! I have four large dogs, and it is great in the house and in the truck. If don't use the Dyson, I use a Shop-vac---and I concur with the others---a clean filter is tremendously important.

We just invested in the 'top of the line' Dyson. I haven't done any vehicles with it *yet* but certainly plan on utilizing it. That thing is SIMPLY AMAZING!

In the interim, I've been using a Shop Vac with very good results. As was previously mentioned, keep the filters clean and such and you'll be good to go.

As you guys know, I have four dogs. The top of the line Dyson (Animal) is awesome. It can be used very nicely on the truck, as well. It is expensive (my wife gasped when she heard how much) but it is definitely worth it.

If you purchase the "Animal" by Dyson, you will get the mini turbine head. This attachment works great while connected to the Dyson. You can also connect it to a shop vac if you have a 1 1/4" hose or the 1 1/4" adaptor for the 2 1/2" hose. It works very well on the larger flatter areas of the carpet. So far it is the only thing that I have found that takes dog hair up easily.
