Meguiar's Water Magnet

Is it just me or what, they say "Super Absorbent" I'm still waiting for this to kick in....

They are more absorbent than a micro fiber, but SUPER... I just bought 3 more for a total of 4 and still can't get my truck dry.. even with a one of Rick's (ADS) water blades knocking a lot of the water off each panel before using the magnets....

They get to where they will not pick up anymore water and you can't ring a drop out of them....

Maybe its just me, too high of expectation from a $10.00 towel...or maybe I'm using them wrong...looks like I need 2 more to get the job done... $60.00 worth of towels to dry a truck...

I see Rick selling me a SpotFree System soon.... real soon....

I've noticed that they do get better in time, they have to break in I guess

Also, try to use one, maybe 2 towels to get the majority of the water off the truck, stopping after each section to wring the towel out, and then use a separate towel to get the little bit left on the surface (like a finishing towel).

this works well for me.

good luck!

I wash them twice before I use them, and I never wash them with my wax removal and QD towels ..

I do three loads .. glass towels .. waffle weaves, and then the Mf's I use for QD and wax/polish removal ..

You may know this already, but make sure you do not use fabric softener on your towels when you wash them. They will not soak up the water very well afterwards. Kinda smears the water around...

Hotel towels are the best...no fabric softener for the most part

Give them some time... they do tend to get better. Make certain that there's no fabric softener involved.

Also, if you have hard water (which, to my recollection, you do) that you add some acidity to your rinse cycle on the washer -- a tablespoon of vinegar per towel is typically adequate.

This will help your towels rinse more thoroughly and not attract as much of a mineral build up.
