Mothers Reflections Advanced Car Wax
Mothers Reflections Advanced Car Wax
I have always been a loyal fan of the meguiars products. I still use many of their line of products. However, recently I began using some of the mothers products after reading about them on this site. I was in a local pepboys the other day and picked up a bottle of Mothers Reflections Advanced Car Wax. This wax is the best I have ever used. Before I used either Mothers FX synwax or Meguiars NXT. But this stuff blows them out the water.
Has anyone else used this product? What's your take on this RP?

I've used Reflections a couple of times -- in fact, I have a 'trial size' bottle of it out on my shelf as we speak.
It pops pretty good... I used it on a red Civic per his request (a wash and wax client -- not really a full detail) and on a metallic beige Saturn (a one time client that was selling the car in the local classifieds). I liked the look of it on the beige (maybe the metallic popped a bit more) but, was mixed on the red. So mixed that I actually stripped half the hood and sat it side by side with FK1's PINK Wax (btw, I know this client well -- I knew that he'd be fine with me doing a bit of experimentation).
The FK1 Pink Wax side had a slightly different look to it with lots of white light on it. The 'reflections' (pardon the pun) on the FK1 side seemed to be more clear.
I've never compared it side by side with any other product...
Durability -- no clue. I haven't seen his Civic in a while (although I did talk to him last week and encouraged him to drop it back off).

... just to add...
My opinion is just that -- an opinion. If you like the product and think that it's blowing everything else that you've used out of the water -- USE IT! That's the joy of this market in my opinion. There are OOOOODLES of good products out there. Some separate themselves from the rest in a quick fashion -- others don't.
One of the Meguiar's guys that I've worked with on multiple projects likes to repeat a quote that someone once told him. I repeat it on occasion because it makes total sense... It goes something like... "Find a product that you like and use it often..." That may not be an exact quote but, it's basically everything that I'm trying to say...

I use it on the Silver portion of the HD. It really makes the metallic pop IMO and gives a very glassy look.
Goes on and comes off easy too and seems pretty durable.
I still use a carnuba on the black as that gives better depth.
A pic when it was just done with Mothers Reflections.

I am really impressed with this product so far. The bugshield on my daughter's escape was very dull looking. I waxed a portion of it with Meguiars NXT, a portion with Mothers FX synwax, and another portion with Mothers Reflectons. The reflections part made the bugshield look new again. It definitely outperformed the other two on this experiment...I always like to get RP's opinion on car care products because he is very knowledgable and has experience with almost every brand out there. Just like I got me some vinylex
for my black trim and it works great. I actually prefer this better than the meguiars #40. But, #40 is a good poduct too.
