The clear coat is damaged, it can't be removed. It has to be repainted if it has gone all the way through the clearcoat to the base coat. Some deserving to die ****** got my whole neighborhood a couple months ago. luckily they missed mine and the egg hit the rear diff. But my neighbors bedside was trashed.

i feel for you man
some punk teenagers damaged my wife's mustang with an egg as we were turning into our street, before we ever even made it to our driveway from the dealer...long story short, they fled in an automobile, i caught up enough to get the tags before letting them go after the driver began to seriously threaten the lives of others on the road in his effort to get away...one of the punks was picked up the week before for throwing 6" chunks of concrete off a highway overpass at cars
...i think they understand i was a bit angry, but i don't think they understand that i wasn't planning on talking if i caught them--and it's a good thing for all parties that i didn't
be sure and get a good paint shop--ask for photo references...good luck

I was hit a few months ago. I was hit on the passenger side front door panel. About a 3rd of the way up from the bottom. It was hit at an angle, it almost missed. But any ways. Most of the issue I have is imbedded egg shells. The clear coat that I managed to clean up is very good. I removed at least 50% of the shells from the finish. I do not want to get the panel resprayed. I am sure I can get more of it out, but at the cost of the clear coat getting thinner? I feel I have done minimal damage thinkness wise to the clear coat to this point. When rubbing your hand over the damaged area, you cannot feel the egg shells in the surface, very smooth... Still pisses me off everytime I see it though... So at this point in time I am just taking a look at other options. It really looks like dust... Any ideas to help cover the egg shells. Perhaps a black die (black truck in my case) that would help disguise the light eggshell color. To cover and help blend into the black paint. Perhaps the eggshell is porous enough to absorb black shoe polish, while the clearcoat is tough enough to repel the shoe polish? I will give it a try when I get some time. Perhaps people with this issue will find a product that hides the eggshell well enough to not respray? Just a thought, I am not sure if you have shells in your finish. But it's a thought... Good luck...

its from the Albumen and it accounts for most of an egg's liquid weight, about 67%. It contains more than half the egg's total protein, niacin, riboflavin, chlorine, magnesium, potassium, sodium and sulfur. The albumen consists of 4 alternating layers of thick and thin consistencies. From the yolk outward, they are designated as the inner thick or chalaziferous white, the inner thin white, the outer thick white and the outer thin white. Egg white tends to thin out as an egg ages because its protein changes in character.

You should get one of these, of course with a little more power and range...
