I use Adam's Metal Polish. It works on my stainless steel tips and the polished aluminum grilles.

I use 2000 grit wet or dry sand paper and wet sand it, then when all the contaminents are gone and any scratches or dings are removed i go back over it with some rubbong compound to brighten it back up.
there is no better product than this stuff.

The more you use it, the better it gets too. it looks like cotton candy, and you just rip a piece off and start rubbing it on the metal. it will turn black after a little bit, an dthen you just wipe/hand buff clean. repeat maybe a couple of times and you will not be disapointed.

the two I like best are Heavy Metal like RP posted, and Metal Armor.. I like the metal armor because it has a sealant as a final step that really brings out the shine, and does a great job of protecting .. the heavy metal does a great job on really dirty pieces..
