Wax on Rims

Can you use wax on your rims to help protect them. I was thinking of using some of my NXT on my rims. Would i hurt the clear coat if I did that?

Should be fine.

If your wheels are clear coated, that is the same clear coat use don the body.

I have used Finish 2001 on my clearcoated wheels a bunch of times. Finish 2001 is a polymer blend just like NXT. Can't see how it would do any harm.

Absoultely... use it. Keep in mind that most 'natural' waxes are less tolerant to high temperatures like those generated by brake systems. For that reason, I'd recommend utilizing a synthetic like NXT or similar...

Wax on Wheels - Use "Wheel Wax"

Wheel Wax is a good product for wheels that I use - great luck with it and helps keep those wheels cleaner longer and easier to clean when they do get dirty

I use the Meg's NXT chrome and polish cleaner on my rims. It makes them look nice and shiny!

Stock or aftermarket... most all of the stock rims are CLEARCOATED and thus, using a metal polish on them really isn't the best idea.
