hit the stripes with a heatgun and a plastic razor blade while removing, your gonne see where they used to be for sure, but if you know how to buff you can hit the lines with a wool pad and some compound at 1,800 rpm's, then go back over it with a foam pad and some wax to remove swirl marks.
