Help!!!

I am about to order some stuff from ADS, but I don't know which cleaner/cutting compound to get:
#1, 2, 4, 83, 84, or 85.
OR........................................
Am I better off sticking with Meg.s step 1 from the 3 step?
Thanks.

Also, for a silver truck, which is a better option:
# 80, 82, or the dual-action 83 (cutting/polishing compound)

Thanks.

The pros can chime in but the 1, 2, 3 bit has always been good to me and I've had good results with it.

Also, I've heard great things about #9 swirl remover. RP, based on what I've told you about my tuck (pretty serious swirling: visible from 15-20 feet), would you use this, scratch-x, color-x, etc?

Basically, what Meg.'s products should I get, b/c I'm about to order form ADS.?

Thanks again for all of your help.

Also, RP (and anyone else), how many of what pad should I get? I'll probably only need the pads no more than once per week until I really get the hang of it, but by then I'll have an idea of how many are necessary for me (that won't be for at least 6 months--gives me time to try out diff. pads on dif. colors of paint.)

Thanks again.

One last thing (I think)...
What's the difference between the Meg.'s claybar you can get at the stores (small size), and the large C-2000 mild claybar? Is it still soft, or is this one of tose aggressive claybars? Or is it merely a size difference, with a fancy name?

Thanks. Sorry for the constant and sporradic posts. Guess I'm kinda exited about this...and busy.

I ordered the 6 pak deal on pads, get one W7006, 3 W8006 and 2 W9006 to start with. You will also need some of the MF bonnets to use with the W7006 to remove the wax with.

I just did both of my vehicles using the DC 1, 2 & 3. Fairly good results but will go to the Pro line next time. I used the PC DA and still had some swirl marks that are visible up close on the wife's Chry T&C.

I've spent close to $300 on supplies already and have anothe $75 worth sitting in my shopping cart now at ADS. Keep seeing things I gotta have.

I think # 80 and 9 would be sufficient. #83 is a pain in the A$$ to work with. (I found out the hard way) The 6 pack of pads is a good deal and I would do the same as suggested by harley130, 1 7006, 3 8006, 2 9006. Use the 7006 only with a bonnet to remove wax if you don't want to do it by hand. Hope this helps.
