303 protectant on tires?

303 protectant on tires?

Does anyone know of another tire protectant that will not collect dust? 303 is the only one I've had luck with so far but it's kind of pricey. I've tried about 4 others so far with no luck.

I really like the Eagle 1 clear tire spray. It is not expensive, it sprays evenly (squirt bottle) and it is not too glossy. I have no problem with dust collection. I spray it on, then wipe it off. It has a black sheen, not too glossy. I hate the wet look. After I drive it once, if it has the streaks from collecting in the grooves, a quick swipe with a paper towel remedies that.

Try Meg.'s Endurance tire Gel with an Eagle One tire swipe. Stays shiny for a long time, and after that, it keeps a rich black color. Also, you need to towel off excess after a few minutes, to keep from getting all over your paint, and while you're at it, you can decide how much shine you want.

Also, RP has some sort of Detailer's stuf that is only availible by the gallon, and is better than the above. I don't remember the name though.

--While I'm thinking about it, RP, what was that product, how much is it, nd how can I get some?

Hyper-Dressing (D-170) -- in my opinion, it's the best product Meg's makes... I absolutely love it. It's pricey at $40 for the gallon but, remember, it's dilutable...

1 gallon, at a minimum, will make two gallons (at 1:1)... I use it at 2:1 now... I really can't tell much difference between 1:1 and 2:1. Very little dust pick up and lasts for weeks.

I use Stoner's tire product and it seems to work well and is not too expensive. Also, dust doesn't seem to be posing a problem.

The advertisement you provided the link to said "varying the gloss from high to satin". Have you ever used it for a satin look? I've been hunting for a good product to give the deep satin appearance (no shine). I'm curious how it does mixed for that effect.... Thanks

I have...

I actually have three bottles of this stuff mixed up... a 1:1, a 2:1, and a 4:1.

The 4:1, in my opinion, is still a bit more than a 'satin' look. It's still got a little 'pop'. A product that I really like for a satin look is Meguiar's Natural Shine. It still has a little tiny bit of shine but it really makes most rubber and trim look 'new' rather than glossy. It's in a red spray bottle -- I think they still make it.

Check ADS... they sell it in a 'trial' size. That's the best way to determine if you like it..... that way you're not buying a gallon and then, potentially, not liking it.
