Any thoughts on this combo, my friend claims that for a black truck there is nothing better than 2 coats of color x then a coat of NXT.

Opinions?

 

ColorX is a very good product, but I am not sure I would go that far.

If he thinks it is best .. have him show you .. do you think his truck is the best looking black truck you have seen? (not meant as a crack .. but a serious question) one of the best things to do is to show people what it looks like .. it is easier than describing it. what do your eyes tell you.

ColorX is a good product .. I like using it ..





But, if you are using Meg's products, then from my own experience, I would say a better combo for black would be (after proper prep, of course):

a good portion of the fun in this hobby/obsession/compulsion is trying different things .. so try them both .. see what looks best to you ..

as long as you use good products, proper technique, common sense, and use everything as intended (both application and frequency).. you have nothing to lose, and might stumble upon something you really like ..
