Overnight dew leaving SPOTS

Every morning I wake up to a wet truck. Tuesday night washed it, Wednesday take the car to work. Come home and take the truck out. The windshield is all spotted, the roof and the hood. I last waxed about mid June. Coat of polish, coat of NXT, coat of 26. Are there any tricks to avoid getting these spots? I know I need a garage, working on it. Truck cover won't do either, have one for the car and the humidity builds between the cover and the car. Leave it for a few days and it gets stinky.

You could wipe the truck down daily with some quick detailer spray to remove them, but I don't believe there is much of anything you can do to prevent them without having a garage.

I tend to concur...

The dew is obviously carrying with it a lot of the airborne contamination that is present in your area (pollen, dust, industrial fallout, etc) and putting it on your paint...

If it were mine, I'd probably arm myself with a boatload of Poorboy's Spray and Wipe (it has a bit more lubrication than the standard QD sprays out there in my opinion -- I buy the stuff by the gallon and LOVE it) and a BUNCH of waffle-weave Microfiber towels. Every morning, I'd give myself an extra 30 mins and spray it down and wipe it down... a PITA but, effective.

Certainly, don't do this when your vehicle is dirty -- this is not a replacement for normal washing.

I park under a metal roof and have this problem also, due to the high humidity. Every morning I walk outside to a line of water the whole length of my truck from where the dew dripped down from the support beam. When I have time I QD, otherwise most of the water does get blown away when driving down the highway.

Add a California Duster into the equation as well. I dust my vehicles everytime I arrive home, and before I leave. It literally takes 2-3 minutes. that's it. It gets probably 75% or better of the dust etc on the paint...then there is less to spot up.

combine dusting, or should I say FOLLOW dusting with the instant detailer method RP mentioned and you will be golden

I would use a quick detailer. It has been humid here in Maryland since June and I have two large construction projects going on in the area. On top of that, I'm a sales rep for a lumber supply company. Dust is inevitable and so is morning dew
