Detailing ideas....

My grandma is gone until sunday and asked if I would clean her car(inside and out) I told her yes. It is storming here and it is very dirty so I might have to take it to a do it yourself car wash and wash it and then hurry home and put it in the garage. I figure since its raining and I have a baseball game tomarrow night I would (if its not raining) wash it and wax it. But if it is raining I will vaccum, armoral, and do her tires...If its not raining I will wash and wax it..Its a silver grand am gt 4 door.Is there anything I am forgeting.

A good glass cleaning on the inside is always nice. When it hasn't been done for a while I use newspaper and glass cleaner. Take a few sheets of newspaper and bunch em up a little then spray the cleaner on the glass wipe if off good with the paper. Then do the same thing one more time with fresh paper. This should get most of the grime, smears, ect off the glass.

Also use the glass cleaner with a cloth this time on the trim pieces on the interior such as the steering wheel ect.

Have fun and impress Granny!

Well I didn't put that but I was going to clean her glass...I was also going to use hard paste wax since that is probably the first time that car has seen wax(my grandpa passed several years ago.) I think it is either an 04' or 05' I'm not sure its a newer car it has 27,000 miles on it. I went to pick it up in the rain and felt like I was draggin on the ground! It feels so much lower than even my 2wd truck!

Hard paste waxes are nothing more than a thing of the past. A good liquid will do just as well if not better and be much easier to apply and remove.

The wheels will need to be cleaned good. (I am sure Grandma has better things to do than scrub the wheels) I figure if you bust hard on it you can have the car looking very good in 1.5 to 2 hours as it is a low miler to begin with and won't need a total extensive detail.

I might post pics but that may be waste of time....You actually have to be there to see a big difference so I don't now....
