egg shells in finish
I would try some fine cut polish first. If this is not having any effect you may be forced to doing some sanding with super fine grit sand paper only! Use 2000 grit and use water or soapy water. Be very careful as the paper can cut more quickly than you realize even though it's super fine! It's best to do a small spot very lightly just enough to where you see a slight haze in the clear from the wet sanding. Then take your polish and buff the haze back to shine. Try this first on either an inconspicuous spot or maybe a beater car. This will get you used to the process. It's really not hard at all once you get familar with it. It is just better to be cautious! You can also take the truck to an auto paint supply store and have them look at it and tell you what product(s) to use on it. If you do not want to mess with it take it to a good detail shop and have them do it.

I took some Maquires scratch-x to it and it really worked well. It remove about 50% of the shells with out hurting the clear coat. It is smooth as silk, but you can see the shells in the surface. I will keep using the scratch-x seems to remove a small amount each time I apply it...
