Is it worth it?

I brought my truck to the local Benny's car wash to get it washed because i havent had time due to us moving etc... Well the guy noticed the hazing/oxidation on my hood and roof and said for 100bucks they could use a High speed buffer and buff it all out. They would do the whole truck and he assured me that the truck would look almost 100% brand new(with the exception of a few scratches). My dad says its a good company and he's seen a few cars that they have done this too, he said they looked amazing, so he thinks it's worth it. I know youre all a bunch of detailing geniuses who would do it yourself, but i dont have the time at the moment. So do you guys think it's worth it?

Well $100 bucks is a great deal, that is the scary part of it lol. Polishing paint is time consuming and if done by someone who "thinks" they know what they are doing can be the end of a good paintjob as well. Personally if it is just the hood and roof that is oxidizing I would wait and polish it myself, then bring it to them to wax the whole truck....can't really screw anything up too major waxing it.

Its not a little mom and pop shop or anything, its a chain company. I was watching them they seem to know what theyre doing. For the time being I feel that it is worth it, because my detailing skills are limited at the moment especially since i dont have a rotary buffer.

One thing I have always heard is tha it is better to go to one of those "little ma and pop" detail places because chances are the guys working on your truck have been doing it for 30 years...and they dont have 100 cars to do in one day so they take there time...

But...I take my truck to ziebart once a year to have them do the full package and my truck looks pretty damn good to me....no swirls scratches on anything...

but I would much rather take my truck to a smaller family owned place...if there was one around here....
