Ridiculous Automotive Observation #64

I'm standing in my garage applying Rain-X to the windows of a vehicle that only gets driven on sunny days.....

Well, here goes the old adage " Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it."

Can't tell you how many 'sunny' days I took the bike out only to wind up sitting under an overpass waiting for the rain to stop...

Don't discount how much easier it is to remove bugs from a windshield that's been Rain-X'd.

If you ever get into the cicadas, junebugs, and giant killer bees, you'll make your life a lot easier by using Rain-X.

We've used Rain-X and it does help with the removal of bugs however be careful how you use it. We had to have a windshield chip fixed and the glass shop said that they can't guarantee a repair done on a windshield that has been Rain-Xed. Seems the product works its way down into a chip and then the fix-it stuff they use won't stick. Only choices were 1: stop using Rain-X or 2: get the chip fixed immediately before you apply a coat of Rain-X to the window.

Just so y'all know
