Yea my filter is susposed to be red. I had to cleaning it, its actaully oiling right now and looks good as new. I used armol-all cleaning and protectant wipes on all the plastic and it came out great! along with a lot of elbow grease.

Yes I am having some misfiring problems. I posted a thread in the Engine fourm. I thought I covered everything I needed to, but I guess I didnt. Yesterday it was driving fine, and like i said in the other thread the flashing check engine light was on for only about 15 seconds then it went off. I have no idea whats going on cause today its driving fine.

I will post some pictures, but the site isnt let me upload them to my gallery. I will try later and post them in this thread.

It looks good but further concretes my thoughts on water and engine compartments...

Water + Engine Compartments = Gremlins (frequently)

My secret to an equally shint engine compartment is this:
1 damp shop rag
1 dry microfiber cloth.
1 bucket of water and a little dish soap.

Dampen the towel with the soap/water mix. Wipe down a small area. Dry with other towel. Repeat until whole engine compartment shines.

(If you prefer, after you use the soapy mix, use a seperate bucket/ rag with clean water, then dry. I don't think that this'll do much, though)

I concur... this is a very safe method that lacks the 'pressurized stream' of water that has caused SO many problems for SO many people (and is exactly the reason that I don't touch engine compartments as a professional detailer -- there's just too much in there that can go VERY wrong VERY quick for MUCHO DINERO...

I might add that, at the end of the wash cycle, if you're looking to get a nice matte or shiny look to it... go with your favorite dressing... my personal favorite is Meguiar's Hyper Dressing diluted at 5:1.
