the forcast for the night:

WIDESPREAD DUST
Widespread Dust
Temp: 61°F

Humidity: 27%
Wind: SSW 9
Barometer: 29.5"
Dewpoint: 27°F
Heat Index: 61°F

Today the sky had a nice redish tent from all the dirt in the air. Needless to say it was not a good day for black vehicle owners.

The green stuff just started here. I washed my truck at 9:30PM last night and let it sit outside overnight in front of the garage. I woke up at 9:30AM and went outside, and there was green pollen dust all over my hood. I think the NXT attracts it.

Wax it. The pollen will not stick as bad.

Oh, I waxed it alright. Didn't help any because I have a dark wedgewood blue truck. When it's clean you can see every tiny particle of dust on the paint the next day. I think it's time for me to get on of those California Duster thingamajig's.

I love my Calif Duster. I see guys at car shows with $10,000 paint jobs using them so if it works for them it works for me.

Ya I seen people use them at the NY auto show on Lambo's, Ferraris, and Porches.... The pollen up here in the northeast is crazy right now... Wash the truck and next day it's green. Bought a California Duster at Walmart and it seems to work good for daily dusting. Anyone like RockPick have any comments on them because I don't wanna damage the paint.

Unhappy

Hmmm the nice part of living in hell. Central Texas here and I must say that I never have even seen a pollen truck, of course I don't know what this snow thing is which some of you speak of. Anyways I am ready for monday morning because I have to call my frkn claims adjuster since my truck was parked out in the open beside the jail last night when a major frkn storm hit. Hail from pebbles to softballs. Anyways guess that is the way of it

Pollen is all over now. Now the deal is the never-ending rain. It storms like 3 times a week now.

It's definately here in DFW. I figure that the best plan is to 2x daily MF the truck, and it seems to help prevent build up. But, yeah, my Band Director has a black RX8, and oddly enough, it turned yellow overnight...I hate pollen, and, yes, the black color will attract the pollen for a few weeks. Basically, when the wind dies down some and the plants stop tryin to make babies, then ur truck will regain its black color.
