I dont think that there's much for your problem. Do a search and read what the guys who know what they are talking about say.

I used the febreeze for auto. Helped alot, but just air it out. open all the windows and use the spray on carpet shampoo and vacuum up. Be surprised how much of the smell is in the carpet. I feel for ya i have had my truck a couple of weeks and still a little bit in it.

Alot of the smell is in the headliner. get a good detail shop to scrub the seats and carpet and if possible, pull the headliner for a good cleaning. Take a damp white towel and scrub on the headliner and see how much brown junk comes off.

You'll probably be able to get most of the smell out with the suggestions given here. Not sure you'll ever get it all out. That stuff is tough.

One word comes to mind when dealing with smoke damage. Ozone. Treat with ozone and you'll get rid of all the smoke odor including what's in the a/c and in all the nooks and crannies you can't get to conventionally. It's what the pros use to clear out smoke damage from home fires. Ask your local fire department who does this kind of work and get it done for you if you don't want to do it yourself.

Turn the a/c on to Max to recirculate and turn the ozone generator on. You'll only need to leave the unit on a few minutes and let the a/c run for a while longer.

Read up on ozone so you know how to safely use it.

I build my own ozone generators and you can too. Just look online for plans. I would advise against it if you don't have experience working with high voltages. I'm talking 30,000 volts and if you find lousy plans or don't follow good ones to the letter, you run the risk of blowing heavy metals and other contaminants into the air. Purchasing an ozone generator can get expensive, so I suggest you either rent one or hire an expert to treat your truck.

clorox fresh scent....breeze which ever the one that clorox has, is the best! i would smoke in my car cigarettes or cigar and I would get home that nite and douse everything with it and in the morning most of it was gone. I would like to spray it into the vents and into the feet vents. Turn the ac on cuz that circulates everything. I even hotboxed my car one time with a couple of pipes, tobacco pipes, and it was full of smoke. Sprayed Clorox in there no one was the wiser.

take some old bear and poor it over the carpets. after it drys you wont really smell the smoke anymore. try not to get pulled over by the cops though.

A really good cleaning of all the surfaces in the truck will go along way to ridding it of the smell. remember the windows, they will have an oily film on them. then when you can leave the windows cracked just a hair.

Any kind of Febreeze works well. Also you can try Ozium. It works great, you can find it at any auto store or walmart.

Word of warning. Don't get your headliner wet. If you do, the adhesive will most likely fail and the material will come loose and hang down.

That's a big reason why I'm an advocate of using ozone.

I don't really expect any performance gains or fuel milage increase with these filters. I'm sure that a small increase is there, just not able to feel in the "seat of the pants dyno". I have been using K&N since 1997 in 5 different vehicles. I just like being able to clean it and put it back in. Saves money in the long run. No problems with oil contamination on any vehicle. Just have to make sure not to over oil the filter after cleaning.

Here is what I did on my old truck. Use simple green and a damp cloth, go over the entire interior (seats, florrs, plastics, headliners, etc.) with some of that. Always test first on a small area before you start. One you have done that, then go over all the plastics with vinyl or plastic treatment. Then I would turn your A/C on recirculate and saturate the interior with febreeze and ozium let it run for 30 mins to an hour so that it will suck all of the odor killer through the system several times. If this doesn't work then replace your cabin air filter (something you may want to do anyway) shampoo the upholstery and try this method again. I smoked for 30k in my old truck and used the above method to remove the smell and it worked great for me.
