Buffed my truck last night

I figure it's Winter time and my truck needs a good coat of wax, and I might as well buff it while I'm at it. I have a Wal-Mart buffer, Ryobi I think is the name of it. It's nothing special, but it does a great job. So I pull it in the garage after coming home from the auto car wash, and from Autozone to buy a can of Meguiar's Hot Shine tire dressing.

I applied Meguiar's yellow #26 in the tan bottle to one body panel at a time. Let it sit for a few minutes until dry, and buffed that bad boy to a sparkling shine. It looks amazing! Although I wasn't to thrilled with the Hot Shine. It went on kind of streaky, so I had to put two coats on each tire and use one of those tire sponge wipes to even it all out. Then I found out the nozzle is adjustable. I had it set on high, which shoots out a narrow stream until I put in on low which had a much wider spray pattern. That helped alot. I need to do the wheel wells today and dust the interior.

I'm good to go this Winter. I checked the anti-freeze which I just changed this past Summer, and it checked out ok. I'll try to get a pic of the truck sometime today to show it off a little. It's not an 04+, but she's a beaut!

Here's a few I took this morning. It was a little cold, so there's some condensation (dew) on the truck.

Thanks ya'll. It's amazing how much less time it takes to take the wax off with a buffer. I'd been waxing it by hand all Summer. I have to do this more often.

Thanks. I've only buffed my truck one time before, and I'm sure it was still beading two or three months later. That's with Meguiar's #26 yellow. I had some NXT somewhere, but I couldn't find it for all the junk in my piled up garage.
