Black spots

Black spots

My girlfriend has a new cobalt painted silver and she wants me to wax it for her b4 winter. But there are black spots cover the car the only thing we can think of is that they came from the tree she has to park under at her apartment i was wondering what would b the best way to get these off b4 waxing it.

Hard to say without seeing it but, it sounds like a good candidate for clay... search around within this forum and read until your heart is content.

I have a feeling I know what you are talking about. About the size of a ball point pen head, scattered all about, and will chip off with a fingernail and leave behind a lighter dot?

If so, you'll have to get some tar and adhesive remover, and be damn careful as you can severely scratch the paint. Then clay bar, compound, and wax. I usually charge $50 an hour for that stuff, and it usually takes at least 3-4 hours to get it all
