Melted Crayon in seat...
Anyone have a tip on how to remove a melted crayon from a cloth seat? My son left a crayon in the back seat of our Camry. Now we have a large blue spot in our grey seat.
This will probably get moved to General Discussion, but I thought I'd try the General Care & Detailing Forum first.

Certainly won't get moved... this is dead-on for what this forum is intended to help with...
As for the crayon... I'm not certain of the procedure but, it involves a hot/warm iron and a cloth...
Stay tuned, someone will chime in with help...

Try putting a paper bag over the crayon then move a hot iron over the bag so the crayon can be absorbed onto the bag. When the bag starts pulling up the crayon move it around so it can absorb the mess a little better. This worked on my living room carpet when some red candle wax got spilled on my light colored carpet. Just don't keep the iron in the same spot or it can burn the seat. Remember to keep the iron moving! Hope this helps. Scott
Yes the brown paper bag and warm iron are the key. Patience is most important do not let the fabric get hot and melt. This works very well for those who take their time. Rush it, get it too hot, get ready to reupholster!
