Made the Switch to Meguiars..
Made the Switch to Meguiars..
I finally switched all my products to Meguiars..
* Gold Class Leather
* Interior Detail/Protectant
* Quick Detailer (exterior, for in between washes)
Also grabbed exterior trim detailer for my Jeep Grand Cherokee since it has tons of plastic trim.. Also switched my soap to Meguiars as well..
Very pleased thus far. Truck looks fantastic, and everything seems clean, as opposed to fake and shiney.. Switched most from armor all stuff. Soap from Turtle Wax..
So what's all this NXT all about? The store didn't have any NXT stuff..

Meguiar's NXT generation Tech Wax claims to be a blend of pure engineered synthetic polymers. I used it on my new '05 KR and can vouch for the quality of the shine. It is very easy to apply and wipe off is super easy with no particle dust. The shine is deep and glossy. They suggest you apply the wax to the entire vehicle before wiping off as it needs 10-15 minutes to cure. Be careful to keep it off vinyl and rubber.
Personally, it is the best wax I have ever used and highly recommend it to everyone. It is a little on the expensive side. I have seen it at Walmart for about $13 and as high as $16.95 at AutoZone. It comes in liquid wax, paste wax and there is also a spray detailer. They have a money back guarantee if you aren't satisfied. I'm very pleased with the results.

If you go with multiple coats of NXT Tech Wax (which I always recommend at least two coats of whatever LSP (last step product) that you utilize on your finish), you should wait around 12 hours to allow the product to properly set-up on your paint. This is true of most synthetic products...
NXT is a series of products from Meguiar's. They have an array of products from All Metal Polysh to Glass Cleaner... from Protectant to Detailing Spray. Some of them are great (the glass cleaner is the best I've used), some aren't (the Detailing Spray smears really bad).
As for the wax, it's pretty good stuff. Like pops mentioned, it's easy on, easy off with minimal dusting. It leaves a pretty nice shine that isn't too 'glassy' looking as is sometimes typical with some synthetic products. I use it frequently on my own vehicles as well as client vehicles (just haven't had much of a chance to do much from the business side being in Missouri on a project for my real job.)
Glad that you liked the Meg's products. They are, typically, a very solid brand with quality products however, I'd caution you to not get too pigeon holed with brand selection as there is a VAST array of great products from other vendors as well... be sure to try several and use the one that best fits your needs, goals, and desired results. Like you, Meguiar's, thus far, has suited my needs within several of the realms that I consider in a product; however, not all of them.

I use the NXT wax for the first time last month and I couldn't have better things to say about it.
Leather care: Go with Zaino's. It is a little expensive but I have leather in 3 different cars and nothing has ever worked better. Armour All and Meguiar's do not compare...for me at least.
It is a little expensive but last forever and is amazingly easy to use. It also recovers old leather lines in seats better than any other leather conditioner I've found.

Z-9 and Z-10 are the two products I use.
The Zaino wax is amazing but far too many steps when you have kids and a career or just don't want to spend that much time on the truck/cars.
