Removing water spots from glass?
What will remove water spots off of glass? My back window is just covered with water spots that wont come off with neither Stoners invisible glass OR the rain repellent spray i got...... I do have a glass "scrub" coming which should arrive tuesday but i just cant wait that long when i know its there
Yep, here's a great thread on that subject from a while back...

Has anyone tried this product on their PC to clean the glass?
I can't seem to remove the waterspots on the windshield with anything. I've tried 0000 steel wool, CLR, clay, and vinegar. Nothing works.

Use 000 steel wool and use Meguiars Paint cleaner (the #1 you can get off the shelf anywhere) It acts as a lube on the glass and aids in breaking down the spots just as if it were on paint. I have never had this not work. If this doesn't work for some odd reason...they aint comin off.
I know this is probably cost prohibitive, but I installed a water softener since we had seriously hard water. Now, no water spots, period. Just thought I'd share.

We use Culligan, www.culligan.com here locally and they are great. Good luck!

edit: FX4&EXCURSION, thanx for the links, Culligan will be at my house to test my water Saturday at 11am. Thank god.

Sears, Home Depot, Lowe's all sell them and you can install it yourself. Can purchase bags of salt darn near anywhere, at least around here. The question I have about this though is... Since a Water Softener works by adding a small amount of salt to your water, will this have a long term effect on your vehicle? Most people I know do not have the softener feeding their outdoor faucets. May also effect the grass and plants. Not sure.
