Sheepskin vs. Chenille
Sheepskin vs. Chenille
I bought this at Walmart awhile back and am wondering if it's safer than the chenille type wash mit.

Boss and I have had lengthy discussions about this particular mitt... it gets pretty good reviews on the detailing boards and is regarded to be a good mitt.
I've held that mitt and think that it's pretty good but, I still regard the SW Arnold sheepskin mitt as a nicer mitt. As far as chenile vs. sheepskin, both are good (pending your going the 'high quality route' for either -- ie: good brand, 100% cotton (with no seeds) etc...).
From the standpoint of buying a mitt at a 'mart' style store, it's one of the best ones that I've seen.

Yep, pretty good mitt. I agree with RP, the SM Arnold and the Meguiar's Sheepskin mitts are a bit better. Still, for a mitt that can be picked up locally, the Eurow mitt is pretty nice.
If you are going to pick one up, always go through the batch that they have at the store and pick out the softest/plushest one of the lot.

The sheep skin mitt seemed promising since it was very plush when I felt it in the store so I went ahead and bought it. ...but when I soaked it in the wash, it lost its nap like a wet dog.
My chenile mitt seemed to sustain its nap better while wet.

I snagged a mitt at Targhetto this weekend that actually looks promising to me. It's 100% cotton and is chenile. The 'fibers' on the mitt are longer and definitely plush. I might give it a test run sometime this week if weather/time allows (because I haven't washed the truck in over 3 weeks).
