It was a great day to PC

I received my box of goodies today and went right to work. RP warned me about black paint and boy he was not kidding!! I worked all day on my daughter's Honda Civic and man was it hard but worth the effort. I did not get a good photo of the swirl marks and scratches but I got rid of the swirls (I think) and made the scratches less noticeable. I WILL NEVER GET A BLACK VEHICLE AGAIN!!! Hopefully I have added the photos correctly or at least the link. Thanks for the warning RP.

Thanks!!! If you could get up really close you can see scratches. I went over the hood 4 times with #83. I did 2-3 passes with #83 over the rest of the car. I then used Scratch X by hand for more serious scratches, #80, #7, #26, and #16 with the PC. I spent 7 hours on it. I think I'll scream if someone scratches it. It was a learning experience.

It is part of fathers day. My wife wanted to get it for me but I didn't want to wait that long!! Opening the box was like Christmas with sooo much stuff. The thill of it all wore off after about the 5th hour of using it. I am doing to do my truck next week and it will be much easier.

You are probably right!!! Hopefully I will not do anything to make it worse. I need to to say "hopefully it will go better." My truck is not black so hopefully it will go easier!

I took some before shots and those did not turn out. The day was perfect to work on it since it was overcast and cool but not good for pictures to catch the swirl marks. I still haven't been able to look at the car on a bright, sunny day. There are still a lot of scratches that I did not get with the PC or with Scratch X but you have to really look at the car to see them.

I think I made a few mistakes being the first time user of the PC. I worked too big of an area and went to fast. It took some thought to keep it slow and stay in a small area. I got better with it after time though. I was also getting tired of working on it and needed to get it done. I have been working too much to enjoy a few days "relaxing" with the PC. I am very happy with the PC and the job it did.
