Small Detail Tip

I just washed and waxed my truck yesterday. Looking over it after I finished drying it. I noticed something was still missing. Use some tire dressing and spray inside your wheel wells, under the truck on the frame, and the frame by the rear tire. I can't stress how much of a difference this makes on the total look of the truck. It looks so much cleaner. All you have to do is wait till it dries and the dirt won't stick to it.

Just thought I'd like to share that little piece of information.

I hit the inside of my wheel wells, frame rails, and even the rear axle and differential every time that I wash.
I use Black Magic's Tire Wet foam (under $3 at Wal-Mart) which makes my truck look new. This stuff will last for a couple of weeks and prevents road grime from sticking.

IMO there is nothing worse than looking at a beautifully cleaned and polished vehicle only to have your eye catch on the dirty wheel wells.

I agree. I coat my wheel wells and frame with whatever protectant I don't like on the tires (usually Armor-All, STP Son-of-a-Gun, etc...).

I think that was RockPick, wasn't it......?

Seriously, guys. dzervit's post was totally tongue-in-cheek -- stop acting like a bunch of over-dramatic sixteen-year-old girls who are about two days away from their period!

Condecending!??! Hmm... where's my list. Add ddellwo.

Moved to General Care where I've preached about this SEVERAL times in the past... even, very recently, in my Hyper Dressing Review thread...

Another little hint here. Instead of using "regular" tire dressing, I use a slightly different product on my wheel wells. There are a number of "no touch" aerosol tire cleaner / dressing products out there. They claim to be able to both clean and dress you tires in one step. Without getting into a debate on how well they work on tires, I can assure you that they work quite well on wheel wells. This also allows me to keep "the good stuff" - in my case Stoner's More Shine, Less Time - for my tires.
