Rain-x Self Dry System Review

Living in Florida and having to use well water to wash the truck is a major pain. A ssuch, I have been looking for a relatively easy way to wash the truck and leave behind as few water spots as possible. I've tried the Mr. Clean system, but just didn't mlike the lack of pressure with the filtered water and my truck would dry too fast anyway and it would still leave water spots. I picked up the Rain-X self dry system at Wal-Mart just to try it out. It claims you can get about 10 washes out of it if used properly. I washed my truck yesterday for the first time in about 3 months (new baby boy in the house and I just haven't had the time to wash it!). Used this Rain-X stuff and it works great! It was about 75 degrees, cloudless day with a bit of a stiff breeze going. I rinsed the whole truck down, turn the nozzle to soap and it shoots out a very foamy lather that stays put and doesn't run off. Gets most of the dirt off with one pass. Then I rinsed it off. I did one panel at a time so the soap wouldn't dry. Then I swithed to the spotless rinse and it comes out with good pressure and quickly soaks everything. Made a few passes over the entire truck and you can see the water just sheeting off. I made sure to soak every part really well and then I went inside for a break. Came back out and there were very few water spots on the truck. I mean less than 10. Then I slapped a coat of Cleaner Wax on it and it looked like new again. I would highly recommend anyone who has hard water issues to try this stuff out. It worked great IMO. Seemed a lot better than the Mr. Clean.

After I was done, I noticed that I had hardly used any of the soap and spotless solution. SO I could easily get at least 10 washes out 1 system. No filters or anything. Cost me about $13 at Wal-Mart.
