I have to leave my truck in a parking lot (ugh) 24/7 while I am down here at school, and last week some jerk apparently opened his/her door into mine.

If this were on the regular body, I wouldn't be asking, but it is on the little piece of trim that runs along the side (about a foot from the bottom of the body).

It looks like it's just mauled, I will get some pictures in the morning.

Does anybody know what I can do to fix this?

 

If it's really beat up (as you've described), there may be two options...

1. If it's not horrible, a shop may be able to fill it, sand it, and repaint it.

2. Replacement.

I know your pain back last September some dumbAss that doesn't know how to drive when they either pulled in or backed out of the parking space nxt to my truck on the drivers side just in front of the rear tire put a 8 inch long crease into the body where the fron of the bumber rubed against the truck boy was I pissed when I first seen it

 

half the time these acts are deliberate acts by jealous jerks.
