Exclamation Water spot solution

For those who have problems with water spotting, I came across this over on the Roadfly Detailing Forums - it's a new portable de-ionizing system that's relatively affordable.... CR Spotless... http://www.crspotless.com/index.php

Seems to be getting some very good reviews...... if I had spotting problems, I'd probably get one.....

Thanks Mike. I've seen this system mentioned on Autopia but was waiting to see what the jury had to say about it...

I'm going to keep an eye on it. Their wall-mount unit looks very similar to the filters discussed earlier here...

Has the jury come back yet or have you heard any more about it?

If that works, it's a great idea......... and probably an expensive one for the weekend warrior. However, for someone who is doing it for a living............ probably a wise investement.

Boss - they're only $250 or so..... alot cheaper than the de-ionizing systems used at dealers & other commercial outfits....

A couple of the sponsors over at Roadfly are in the midst of testing them out.... judging from some of their previous reviews of other products (both negative & positive), they're pretty straightforward/honest and not shills because they rec'd free product from the vendor....

I just use McGuiars Quick Detal and Wax Spray and the spots disappear

Did the whole bed of my truck, and it came out fine. All the spots are gone.

I have spoken with the folks at CR Spotless and they're a CLASS ACT. All of my questions were answered in a very timely manner (within an hour on multiple occasions).

My only reservation about the system is the price of replacement cartridges but, all in all, the system seems like a VERY solid piece of equipment. Replacements are going to be a thing with all of the systems though...

While I haven't decided on the route in which I may pursue, this is certainly an option in my book. Thanks for bringing this to the table Mike.

FYI - some of the real-world testing results were posted yesterday on Roadfly... quite positive reviews...

$250 seems a little steep to me, just to remove the spots...

I guess it makes sense for someone who does this sort of thing professionaly. Not me though, I would rather put the $250 towards some new exhaust.

I figure, if I get it going fast enough the spots will take care of themselves...

I second that

It seems like a really good idea though, if your really big into detailing. I really can not see anyone owning one unless they are so big into detailing that their wife is going to kick them out in a matter of days.

Maybe you could get away with it saying that it would be much better to use this when watering the lawn because it gets all the bad chemicals out. Just tell her it will make the grass greener and thicker

Just saw the reviews on roadfly and Autopia about the DI300 unit. I think I will give the 100 a try. Wish me luck if it don't work I may be homeless and without a computer (wife isn't too happy aobut it).
