Question Survey..How Often (Honestly) Do You Wash/Wax?

Hello again. I would like to find out how often you actually wash/wax your truck & how much time you spend doing this. Based on what I have read here it would seem that I am a really lazy person when it comes to truck care. But, most of my friends (who may be equally lazy), bascially only do what I do; wash & vacuum once a week or so and wax once a month or so. So, let's here from any and all who read this.

i washed /vaccumed my truck for the first time since beginning of February last week. It was nasty. Clumps of mud on the hood, dirt caked everywhere, my wheels/tips were brown...yuck! Bed had beer cans and trash all over it, cab had gum wrappers, couple of McD's bags, dust about 1/2" thick everywhere...it was gross. Being 600 miles from home at college and not having much money to spend tends to be hard on a vehicle. I typically (in summer months) hand wash once a week with detailer, chrome polish, etc and wax about every 3-4 weeks, im guessing 8-10 waxings per year. I havnt waxed it since December and it still beeded up very nicely when i washed it last week, even through the hell it had been put thru. Still looks dam good when i clean it up, paint still looks very deep and overall in great shape!

I snapped this yesterday, this is even using the Foam Brush at and cheap wax rinse at the local coin-op car wash....PLEASE DONT BAN ME ROCKPICK!!!!!!

edit:::Just noticed someone stole my "Support Our Troops/God Bless America" magnetic ribbon off my tailgate....argh!

I wash once a week probably about a 2 hour process.... and use a QD every day...that takes about 15 minutes.

This is year round being as how I live in Arizona

Wax every 3 weeks.

Full detail every 3 months.
That includes clay/polish/sealent and a couple coats of wax.

There's just something about a newly fresh waxed truck that puts a smile on my face.

Wash once a week, sometimes twice.

QD when necessary, usually daily.

Detail engine and undercarriage every other month.

Wax quarterly.

Full detail (clay, polish, etc...) twice a year.

And a lot of small stuff in between...

BTW Tami, did you note the novel that I wrote for you in your other thread? Wasn't sure since you made absolutely no comment at all...

Wash about every other week. More in Summer, less in Winter.
Wax about every 3 to 4 months.

With this DSG color, I need to wash about every other week (more often if I drive in the rain). This truck shows road grime like no other vehicle I've ever owned. Wax every couple months or so (whenever I feel like it). I have no idea what a QD is.

My 94 Ranger is the Bright Blue and it hides dirt very well. I can wash it about 3-4 times a year and it never looks all that bad. 11 years old and it still shines up nicely. Over the last few years I've waxed it 1-2 times per year.
