We used it on my friends billet wheels and it worked excellent. You do have to follow the directions to the letter the get the best results.

Although I haven't used the Zoop product specifically, I've experimented with several other "sealers" for uncoated aluminum. When you ask about how effective they are when used "in snow," I'd propose that snow in and by itself is not much of a problem. If you mix in the various things used around the country to melt snow, now we have an issue. For instance, salt will generally work its way right through any type of chemical conversion coating (which these sealers are) and start to oxidize your otherwise unprotected aluminum.

From what I've heard, the Zoop product is better than most, but salt will still cause oxidation even with it. That's why factory aluminum wheels come with a clear coat finish. Hope that helps.
