Meguiar's Car Wash
Meguiar's Car Wash
Anyone know what's the difference (if any) between the various Meguiar's car washes, Gold Class, NXT, Deep Crystal? Is there any difference in these or do they just put different labels on them to compliment their different product lines? Just wondering...

Deep Crystal - Decent off the shelf product.
Gold Class - High lubrication, fairly strong cleaning, adds a tiny bit of gloss. All around good consumer car wash.
NXT - Very good wash. Not as much lubrication as GC but close. Has additives to help with minimize water spots. Free rinsing.
To make matters even more confusing, Meguiar's makes other car washes.....
#00 - High Tech Wash - Excellent wash with high lubrication.
#62 - Professional Car Shampoo & Conditioner - This is my favorite Meguiar's Car Wash.
RP is very familar with many of these washes....... he may have a different take on them.

There are a couple of others in the Detailer Line of products as well but, those may or may not be anything that you're interested in...
Hyperwash - Really not a product for a home user as it's to be diluted 400:1. Hard to measure with that type of precision honestly. I've used it and it's okay. Designed for high volume detailers or car dealerships.
Shampoo Plus - Bought a gallon of this recently and, honestly, I'm not real sure what to think after 3 uses thus far. I'll have to give you more info later. First impression, average.
Of the suite that have been mentioned here, I like Gold Class. It's pretty cheap, easy to find in bulk (gallons at Target), and provides great sudsing action and great lubrication.
Deep Crystal is a decent product but is designed for 'off the shelf' at Wal-Mart in a low price range (competition for lower end shampoos).
NXT, like Boss mentioned, is pretty good but, my water chemistry here really plays havoc with it. It doesn't seem to me to suds up as well as GC.
#00 - Great stuff. I like to use this stuff in solution as clay lube. This is a SOAP FREE product.
#62 - Great stuff but, I've only used it once. I hear raves about this stuff frequently and thus, I'll find out what all the chatter is about soon (maybe by returning the gallon of shampoo plus).
