Question Paint Type

I've just purchased a 2005 Ford F150 Supercab, Its a dark red almost maroon with Arizona Beige on the bottom. Are they still using clear coats these days? Also I would appreciate the best wax/polish recommendations. I want this beauty to last!

First of all, welcome to F150 Online! In answer to your first question, yes, they still use the base Coat / Clear Coat system on your truck - for all sorts of good reasons.

As for good waxes and polishes for your truck, it's kind of like favorite brands of golf *****. Evrybody's got a favorite or two - or twelve. I'm sure a number of us "old guys" will chime in with favorites, but if you stick to the better name brands, you should be pretty safe. What would I recommend? Just about anything from Meguire's or Zaino will peg the "wowy zow meter. Remember one constant though: No matter what product you use, preparation is the key to good results.

Good luck with your new truck!
