clay bar

i just completed washing my red truck today. after washing the truck i applied NXT wax and was very satisfied with the results. while removing the wax, i noticed small black dots in ramdom areas mainly on the truck bed. the more i look at it, the more i realize that the small dots are line-x particles. i had line-x put in three weeks ago and i guess they didn't completely cover the truck up. all of these black particles were easily removed by scratching at it. i didn't remove all of them because i'm afraid that by scratching at the truck, it may leave scracthes on the truck. anyways, i'm thinking about order clay bar and some other products that has been raved about on here so much. after i'm done with the clay bar, do i throw it away? or do i keep it and continue to use it until i finally drop it?

also, on the bed there is a small inperfection in the paint. the best i can describe it is, it looks like a pimple comming out of my paint. the middle of it looks hollow. once again this is very small, but any tips on how to smooth it out?

thanks for any input, and tips on using the clay bar would be appreciated also.

thanks again

Argh... Line-X might be a booger to remove but, I'd certainly give it a whirl with clay.

My hunch is that it will probably get the majority of it though...

In this instance, depending on the level of contamination, I'd toss the clay bar but, here's a trick...

Chop your bar into two pieces. This way, you'll probably still have one piece for future detailing.

Or if you drop it on the ground, you still have half. Don't ask
