The TRANSFORMATION AWARD

We started with the 'Best Shine Award' back earlier in the year... now, let's begin to think about the best transformation.

From dictionary.com
trans·for·ma·tion - 2. A marked change, as in appearance or character, usually for the better.
Here's what we're looking for:

1. A picture of your F-Series vehicle at it's absolute worst. Don't hold back! Salt, mud, grime, bird poo, swirls, scratches (among others) are all fair and expected game!

2. A picture of your 'transformed' vehicle. Be sure to show highlights and such. For example, take a picture of your wheels and how horrid they look. Then post an after shot.

3. Post the products, starting with water, that you utilized to bring your vehicle back to the pinnacle of the trucking community. Don't skimp! I want to see a list from 1. Water to 17. Eagle One Tire Swabs.

In short, I'm looking for before and after shots.

This contest will run for one month. I know that many folks in the United States will have extreme difficulty obtaining huge transformations because of the adverse environmental conditions that we encounter during these winter months but, don't fret. We'll do this one again and you'll have an opportunity to participate.

At the end of a month (thread will lock on Thurs. Jan. 27th), we, as a forum, will select who wins the 'Most Transformed' award. Everyone is welcome to participate just as long as the vehicle that you're transforming is of the F-Series variety (which doesn't exclude me). I don't have a physical 'award' (like a goodies bag or similar) yet but, I'm working on it (no promises here!)

Enjoy this contest and may the best TRANSFORMATION win!

Well, I would be a contender, but mine's in the shop. Hopefully it'll be out before the 27th. I have GOT to win one of these 'RP' contests before long.

Before...Well here is mine, Ill go ahead and post up since I know my truck will never be anymore dirty than it is in the one pic here.

After...Started with regular garden hose to get everything loose, then the under carriage sprayed down with 409 followed with the steam jeanie to get the undercarriage looking new again.
Back to the garden hose to spray off truck washed with mit and clear soap, cleaned tires with 409 and a scrub brush.

Dried with a chemois. Waxed with body magic wax.

Armorall all undercarriage, tire wet on tires.

Clean windows with clearvue.

Use shop vac on carpet, then clean door panels, seats, dash with leather cleaner/conditioner, clean inside windows with clearvue.

Clean again.

OK here goes... the truck started out pretty dirty, it was covered with this "teal" color paint, I wasnt sure what to make of it so I asked my body shop guy, and he recommended I use a special paint to fix the teal problem I was having. And the rest is history! .

before the "fix":

After the "fix" (ok and a few other things):

OK so I know this isnt what you are looking for, LOL!

Hey RP,

I've seen Meguiars NXT mentioned quite a bit. Who supplies it? Paint shops or can you get from a parts store?

Most 'mart' stores have it. Also, Pep Boys, AutoZone, etc... typically stock it.
