Thanks Rock. I hope your right. I’ll give it a go; hopefully I’ll be able to wash it as soon as the water hose unfreezes.

Good morning fellas! I detailed Hoss yesterday using the following process:

Here is the process I used (thanks Big Screw):
For the best results on black, follow these steps:

1. wash - meguiar's gold class shampoo/conditioner
2. clay bar - mother's or whoever you prefer
3. swirl remover - meguiar's #9 or colorx
4. polish - meguiar's #7 polish/glaze (swirls WILL be gone!)
5. wax -meguiar's NXT wax
6. wait a day
7. wax - meguiar's NXT wax

I am currently on step 7. I should be able to apply the second coat of NTX today. It has taken around 5 hours so far. It was overcast yesterday but the temp was around 62, so I think it was ideal. I only wish I had taken some pics before I started. Since we don’t have a digital camera, I will have to take some pics and have them developed at Wally World. I believe they can put pics on a disk. I'll post them when I get them back.

I just want to take a second and thank EVERYONE here who has posted suggestions on Hoss’ first detail, I have never done it before and reading the threads on application and suggestions, I believe I have a job well done!

Beers to ALL
