Question need help removing tree sap from bed caps..

anyone know what i should/could use to clean tree sap from my bed caps? i have 2 stains now and i tried cleaning one with mineral spirits but it looks like it left a white stain. i also tried bug remover from turlte wax but it won't even touch it. now i have one on the other side of the truck. i'm not touching that one until i find something that will work and not damage the finish. ( evergreen tree sap) got this at work were i park, needless to say i don't park my truck in that spot anymore. any ideas and any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try Mr Clean Magic Eraser. This thing will take of just about anything I have tried it on, including old wax on the plastic parts.
