compounds on plastic trim

How do I remove any residual compounds from my plastic trim around the bed rails and windows? What do you suggest to keep this from happening inthe future?

Precisely what Mike mentioned would be my course of suggestion. I tested the magic eraser on several surfaces and found that it was, by far, the best method that I'd used to remove wax residue from trim surfaces.

The blue painters tape is also a must have when you're doing a full detail/wax on your truck.
