Hey....i just noticed that on my tail gate and the gas door, there are a few small spots where the clear coat is peeling. My truck is a 2000 and there aren't any scratches around where its peeling. How long do paint warranties last, and also because its probly up already, is there anything i can do to stop it from peeling more?? Thanks for any help!!

If you got the extended warranty, then you can try it. I have don't know about what all the warranty covers.

There isn't anything you can do to stop it. The clearcoat is failing.

 

would clear nail polish eat away at the paint??? i was just thinking it might stop the edges from peeling for a while anyways.....

 

Run to pepboys and grab a little touch-up bottle of clear coat and give that a try.
