Black f150 needs shine!!!

OK i got my 01 black f150 sunday and it was dirty so today i got around to washing it and noticed a few scratches and towel marks on the body. I would like to know what kind of products and techniques to make it shine and cover up some of the scratches.

Also what would be good to use on the stock 17s?

Any help is appreciated/

Can you post some pictures of what your finish looks like? The best type of pics will be in natural daylight/sunlight so that the swirls/scratches are very evident.

Without really knowing how extensive your scratches/swirls are, it's kind of hard to throw out a blanket statement on how to fix it....

Let us know!

I have looked up a lot of posts about this on here. After some research buffed my black 02 f-150 with a rotary buffer and McGuires fine to start. Now I wash it with the Mr. clean autodry car wash (which is awesome) and I ONLY use microfiber towels... I have yet to get swirl marks and scratches from these towels. I use McGuires NXT Tech wax and it ends up finishing great. I can see the deep scratches when I get up close and look for them, but otherwise it looks incredible.
Black is so hard to maintain.

Sorry i won't be able to get any decent pics anytime soon, but i found some turtle wax polish and chip combo for black in the basement that i plan on using sometime this weekend.

Also what is good to get that black tire gunk in the hard to reach spots that are barely visible?

I use a combo of Mcguires and (sorry RP) Mothers for my Black truck. As far as maintaining, it gets washed everyday, sometimes twice a day. But its worth it.

Sled...

Thanks Chicago,
My best compliment was when I was walking toward my truck at the mall and some lady got out of her car and fixed her dress in the reflection. As we passed each other just beyond my truck I just said thanks as I walked by her. She just smiled at me when she say I owner the truck she used.

Sled...
