What do you use for interior plastic?

What do you guys use for interior plastic? I'm looking for a product that is low gloss with good sun protection, particularly for the dash.

Thanks!

I only use the California Duster, no liquid protectants.

Ditto on the 303

I will NOT use anything else. I use it on the exterior black trim and torneau cover also.

I get mine from Yankee Custom.

Another vote for 303 I've tried almost everything on the market and haven't found anything as good as 303. Cleans, protects and very low gloss.

Same here, 303 Aerospace Protectant. It leaves a nice satin finish that looks new. No gloss. It isn't the cheapest, but I bought a gallon to cut the per ounce cost.

I picked up some 303 at my local "Boater's World" today. Jeez, that stuff is expensive!

Vinylex... again though, not cheap. About $8-$10 / bottle. I recently found Vinylex wipes. I'm going to compare them head to head with Meguiar's Gold Class Protectant Wipes.

I use Anti-static Neutralizing Pledge. It has a nice fresh smell (not the overpowering lemon smell), leaves no grease or gloss, stays clean longer, will not damage any vinyl or clear plastics over time, doesn't leave that haze on the windshield, and is cheap. Only thing is I am not sure about the UV protection. Give it a try.

Also out of curiosity, how much is the 303 stuff? And where do you get it (I don't have a Boater's World where I live)?

I have a big bottle of the 303, But after I used it on the EXTERIOR, if it got foggy or a light rain , it spotted up real bad and I was always having to touch it up. Kind of a PITA if you ask me. I have gone back to Meguires Gold Class Protectant wipes for the outside and inside.

I might give the 303 another chance this summer though.

While it may be working now, I'd highly recommend against utilizing a product of this nature for this job. The main reason is because of the delivery agents used in such propellant based sprays... that being kerosene and similar volitiles. These products have a tendency to shine big time but, also strip the plastic/vinyl of necessary items (plasticizers etc) which are vital to the longevity of the product. Further, it offers little to no UV protection which is critical in most automotive environments.

You can buy an 8oz bottle of 303 Aerospace Protectant at many auto parts stores. Alos, most boating stores. That runs about $8 I think. Larger bottles are more rare locally, but certainly on-line. They have a 16oz spray, and some larger containers that are just for refills.

After buying an 8oz bottle to test, then a 16oz bottle, I just ordered a gallon on-line for about $50.

If you're looking for a cheaper option that works pretty well, go with Mother's. I use this on all my vehicles and love it. It isn't very glossy and doesn't leave a greasy film either.
